My full bio is available on my web site.

I arrived in Mount Vernon, NY as a toddler from rural North Carolina. I became the Mount Vernon City Historian after many achievements in the study of history, including my doctoral work at SUNY Stony Brook in 1983. I taught history at the Mount Vernon High School and was an administrator in several positions including Multicultural Coordinator, History Standards Administrator, and Principal of the Mount Vernon High School (from which I graduated in 1967). Before retiring, I was also the Principal of the Wyandanch Memorial High School.

You will be able to keep up with my adventures since I have retired here in this blog.
